Peggy Hunter Dohanich, 73, of Moreland, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Peggy was born July 6, 1945, in Coweta County to the late George Frank Hunter & Lulu Mildred Cauthen Hunter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Leroy Hunter.
Peggy grew up in Coweta County and graduated from Newnan High School. After high school, she began work as a bookkeeper for C&S Bank in Newnan. After 43 years and many promotions, she retired from the fraud department of Bank of America. She was a lifelong member of White Oak Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include Peggy’s husband of 55 years, Louis Dohanich; children, David (Alisa) Dohanich, Melissa (Wayde) Morrill; sister, Beatrice (Randy) Boswell; grandchildren, Rebekah Dohanich, Sydney Kimbrough, Chance Kimbrough, Shelby Dallas, Shane Dallas, Tristan Morrill, Trace Morrill, Colton Morrill, Gavin Morrill, Grayson Morrill; sister-in-law, Betty Hunter; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at White Oak Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Rev. Winston Skinner and Dr. John Cook officiating the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA 30263. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions can be made to the White Oak Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 2796 Gordon Road, Senoia, GA 30276.
