A recommendation from the Coweta County Grand Jury that the Coweta Judicial Circuit be split is on the agenda for tonight’s meeting of the Coweta County Board of Commissioners.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and is held in the commissioner’s meeting room, upstairs at 37 Perry St., Newnan.
The recommendation is part of the grand jury presentments, and acceptance of the presentments is on the agenda. Typically, presentments are accepted without comment.
Also on the agenda are a permit for “neighborhood agribusiness” on West Grantville Road, a conditional use permit for expansion to the Newnan Country Club, and changes to the conditions for a dog boarding facility.
All three issues have been heard by the Coweta Board of Zoning Appeals, and the board is recommending approval.
Jo Ann Peiter wishes to use her property on West Grantville Road for outdoor education, including outdoor classrooms, activity center and farm-related activities and tours. According to agenda materials, the activities will be seasonal and primarily in the fall.
Camp Mimi on Rockaway Road in Senoia is requesting several condition changes, including being able to board up to 50 animals. The current limit is 20 animals.
Newnan Country Club has never had a conditional use permit, as it was established long before CUPs were required. The organization has applied to bring the existing properties under a CUP, and for a clubhouse and parking expansion.
