Jacob Yechouh Grigho, 81, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital surrounded by family.
He was born in Beirut, Lebanon on July 8, 1937 to the late Yechouh Marrouki Grigho and Katoun Elia Grigho.
Jacob was a youth leader in his church. He aided several youths to go in the priesthood of the Assyrian Orthodox Faith. During his younger years he played professional Soccer in Lebanon. After playing 18 years of Soccer, Jacob became a Master Jeweler and ended up owning and operating his own business. Jacob was a fantastic cook and loved to cook all his mother’s favorite mid-eastern recipes.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Vivian Elizabeth Grigho.
The funeral service celebrating the life Jacob lived is Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Norton officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made in Jacob’s name to Assyrian Orphanage and School Association of America, Inc., 644 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652 or to Providence Baptist Church, 918 Providence Church Road, Newnan, GA 30263.
