Urban Air Adventure Park officially opened on Dec. 8 in the former H.H. Gregg location at 231 Newnan Bypass Crossing.

AARP driving course Jan. 8

An AARP Smart Driver Course will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the Carnegie Library in downtown Newnan from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. This course is open to all licensed drivers. There is a $20 fee for non-AARP members and a $15 for AARP members with valid membership cards. Members must bring their cards.

Fees can be paid by cash, check or money order only, made payable to AARP. Bring your own lunch. Call Jesse Johnson at 678-485-0655 to register.

Urban Air Adventure Park celebrates grand opening

Urban Air Adventure Park, which features trampoline and adventure-style park attractions, opened its new location in Newnan on Dec. 8 bringing 80 jobs to the community.

The adventure park is located in the former H.H. Gregg location at 231 Newnan Bypass Crossing.

For every pass sold at the grand opening event, a pass was donated to the Newnan and Coweta Boys & Girls Club.

First responders and their families were also offered a sneak peek of the park with their families on Dec. 7, one day before the official grand opening.
