Mrs. Marion Barber Reeves, 84, of Sharpsburg, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
Mrs. Reeves was born January 5, 1934, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Carl and Mary Cook Barber. A resident of Coweta County for the past 45 years, she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking, reading and trips to the beach. She was also a member of Silver Slippers Gym, and looked forward to exercising there three times each week.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Gerald Edgar Reeves; and her sister, Peggy Tant.
Survivors include her children, Rebecca Marion O’Neal and her husband Wayne, Edwin Gerald Reeves, Sr. and his wife Candy, all of Luthersville, Cynthia Ann St. John and her husband Michael, Patricia Ellen Patterson and her husband Jacky, all of Newnan; brother, Cecil Barber of Luthersville; brother in-law, James Tant of Riverdale; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, November 10, at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County, with Reverend Norman Goss officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday night at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.
