A sale of Christmas books will raise money for the Whitesburg Library.

Large collections of cookbooks and Christmas fiction and nonfiction books are half price during November at Harvey's House of Books, operated by the Friends of the Whitesburg Public Library.

Sale prices are $1 for hardback books and 25 or 50 cents for paperbacks. The store is a good place for Christmas shopping as it offers a large selection of like-new, “giftable” books for only $3.

Located at 1140 Main St. in Whitesburg, the store has 20,000 adult and children’s books, audio books, magazines, DVDs and music. All sales benefit the library.

Hours are Mondays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m. to noon; and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.;  Every Friday is Frugal Friday when most books are half-price.
