Two new restaurants will be opening in Grantville.
Rednexican will be located at 13 Church St. and Niko’s Family Restaurant officially opened Tuesday at 22 Main St.
Rednexican specializes in Mexican and southern cuisine. The council approved the alcohol and beverage license Monday night. The restaurant was formerly a partnership between Chad Smith and William Alvin Booth. Smith still owns the original Rednexican, renamed The Mad Mexican, on the downtown square in Newnan.
Booth kept the original name of the restaurant. Smith formally changed the name of the Newnan restaurant last month.
Rednexican applied for a retail alcohol license in Newnan in December 2013.
Niko’s Family Restaurant specializes in Greek cuisine and will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Niko’s was formerly My Big Fat Greek Restaurant and was located in Hogansville and then One Crazy Greek located in the edge of Meriwether County near Hogansville.
