Barberitos to open in Ashley Park

Newnan's first Barberitos restaurant will open Oct. 22.

The restaurant will offer farm-fresh food for customers seeking a healthy and flavorful quick-service option for lunch and dinner.

Neilay Patel is the owner and will be operating the restaurant with his business partner, Neel Patel.

Barberitos offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, along with chargrilled chicken and steak. All of the salsas, guacamole, hot sauces, marinades, vegetable toppings and salad dressings are made from scratch each day.

Founded in 2000 by Downing Barber, Barberitos has grown to more than 50 locations in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, South Carolina and North Carolina.

United Bank hosts Customer Appreciation Day

United Bank on Bullsboro Drive in Newnan celebrated its annual Customer Appreciation Day Friday, Sept. 21.

Customers were served barbecue plates, homemade cakes and cookies and cold drinks.

United Bank has branches throughout middle Georgia.
