The East Coweta Lady Indians’ softball team just continues to win.
With the 7-0 victory over Parkview and 5-0 win over Lambert, last year’s defending 7-A champs improved their record to 14-0 to start the 2018 season.
East Coweta has won 50 in a row dating back to last year.
Senior pitcher Kelley Lynch entered Friday’s game against Lambert fresh off a perfect game against Northgate.
Lynch has now struck out 32 batters in two days with 14 coming against Northgate and 18 against Lambert.
Jaliyah Holmes also turned in a strong showing from the pitching circle against Parkview.
Offensively, Carmen Prior had three RBIs over the two games and Lilly Agan had three hits in the leadoff spot.
East Coweta began a stretch of three games over two days by defeating Northgate on the road Thursday.
Lady Vikings head softball coach Lisa Skelton couldn’t argue with the effort of her team in East Coweta’s 8-0 victory that ended after six innings considering the Lady Vikings won’t face a more talented pitcher this season.
“I’m proud of my girls. Compared to the last time we played them, this is a win,” she said.
Lynch and junior catcher Caroline Lively were as much in sync during a 72-pitch gem by East Coweta’s battery Thursday en route to the duo’s second perfect game of in 2018.
