An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held today at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 101 Peachtree Parkway N, Peachtree City.

Hours for the blood drive are 3-8 p.m. Other area churches holding blood drives include:

•All Saints' Episcopal Church, 634 W. Peachtree Street NW, Atlanta, Sunday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
•St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, 152 Antioch Road, Fayetteville, Tuesday, 2-7 p.m.
•First United Methodist Church, 1401 Maple Drive, Griffin, Thursday, 2-7 p.m.
•Happy Valley Baptist Church, 605 Main St., Villa Rica, Thursday, 3-7 p.m.

Other churches have held blood drives recently including, Living Faith Fellowship, 1481 Redwine Road, Fayetteville, July 2; First Baptist Church, 106 West Taylor St., Griffin, July 2; and St. George Catholic Church, 771 Roscoe Road, July 7.

Bethel Heard Baptist Church, 2484 Charlie B. Johnston Rd. will be celebrating its annual Women's Day on Sunday.

Minister Stephanie Keith of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, will bring the message at the 11 a.m. service. The theme is “Holy Women of God,” and the color is any shade of blue.

Luthersville United Methodist Church will hold its annual homecoming service on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Winston Skinner, news editor at The Newnan Times-Herald and a minister who is a member of Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Lone Oak, will bring the message. Newnan musician Rena Walker will be guest pianist.

A covered dish meal will follow the service. Allen-Lee UMC, which is on the same charge, will join with Luthersville UMC for the homecoming service.
