Senoia will close an intersection at the end of July for a “The Walking Dead” filming.

The Senoia intersection of Luther Bailey Road and Dolly Nixon Road will close July 27 for “The Walking Dead” filming.

The intersection has been approved to be closed from July 27 at 7 a.m. until July 28 at 7 p.m.

Senoia City Council moved to approve the closure July 16.

The show plans to set up the intersection for filming next Friday morning and film that Friday night. The following Saturday will be used to prepare the intersection for reopening.

Marked detours will be available for drivers.

In January, history’s “highest-rated cable series” was renewed for its ninth season. The new season will premiere in late 2018.

All members of the city council voted to approve the intersection closure Monday.
