The Peachtree City Chapter of New Neighbors League Club named Muriel Bixler as the New Neighbor of the Month for June.
A member of New Neighbors since April 2016, Bixler has been actively involved since that time serving as membership chair, personally recruiting 30 new members in August alone.
She most recently completed a six months term as president of NNLC.
Bixler also has hosted wine club and daytime fun and friendship socials in her home, and the NN Social Group Soup Cook Off. Currently Bixler is busy with planning the club’s annual golf cart rally and hosting upcoming social events.
With her recent retirement from a long-term career with IBM, Bixler plans to enjoy spending more time with her husband and family, as well as pursuing her favorite hobby – quilting. She enjoys creating beautiful quilts for family and friends.
NNLC’s purpose is to bring newcomers to the area together so that they may meet and become friends while adjusting to new surroundings. It is a not-for-profit social organization that has a wide variety of special interest groups.
