Wet weather forced the first-round Class 6-A doubleheader between Northgate and River Ridge to be postponed Thursday afternoon in Woodstock.
The best-of-three series will now resume Friday with the first game starting at 4:30, followed by a second game.
Should the two teams split today’s doubleheader, a third contest will be played Saturday morning at 11 a.m. East Coweta, which dropped the first game of its playoff series against Camden County Wednesday, will resume Friday at 3 p.m. after Thursday’s action was rained out.
A third game if needed will follow. Newnan will open its delayed first-round series today in Class 7A that was also pushed back from Thursday.
The Cougars, who finished as the No. 1 seed in Region 2, host Roswell, which was the at-large seed in Class 7A.
