The Trinity Lions had their big bats working again Friday night on the road in the GISA Region 1-AAA contest and it translated into an 16-2 victory.
With the win, Trinity improves to 13-1-1 overall and 5-1 in region action.
Trinity scored at least one run in every inning but the sixth and out hit Loganville Christian 16-5.
The Lions put the game away with an eight-run explosion in the top of the seventh.
Kyle Riesselmann helped put the game out of reach in the seventh inning with a two-run homer, his eighth of the season.
Shep Hancock also came through with the long-ball, connecting with a two-run homer in the fourth. Hancock has hit three in the last four games.
Trinity has now hit 22 home runs as a team.
Brenan Burkes fin- ished with two doubles. Hancock, Calin Smith, Maury Weaver, and Alex Williford also reached with doubles for the Lions.
Smith and Trevor Crews finished the game with three RBIs.
Marshall Carson, Hancock, Riesselmann and Weaver each had 2 RBIs.
Jake Estes picked up the win, pitching five innings and striking out six. Charles Fuller struck out a batter in relief.
