In Coweta County, Easter egg hunts and the Easter bunny are not just for the children, but for the young at heart as well.
Coweta County Senior Services will be hosting a Health Fair and Egg Hunt for the seniors of Coweta County on Wednesday, March 28, at 11 a.m. along the midway at the Coweta County Fairgrounds on Pine Road.
Patricia Hood, Coweta County Events Services events coordinator, said that not only will be seniors be able to hunt eggs filled with candy and other treats, but the event also will be educational.
Senior businesses and services will be attendance as well. Each service will host a senior-friendly game, and there will be prizes.
Hood said the event is usually a big hit and grows each year.
“Last year’s expo hosted around 93 seniors,” Hood said. “This is a great time for the seniors to see what we have available to them in the county.”
The event is for Coweta County senior citizens only and will be over around 1 p.m.
