A British invasion of the musical kind will take over the Nixon Centre for the Arts on March 22.
Hand-picked by the late George Harrison’s sister, Louise, Liverpool Legends is a Beatles tribute band with a direct family link to the original Fab Four.
“Each member of the group is so close to the originals that I often feel like I’m transported back in time with the lads,” Louise Harrison said. “These are exactly the kind of fun-loving, quality musicians that my brother George would have loved to hang out with.”
Liverpool Legends recreated the Beatles’ 1966 concert at Busch Stadium in St. Louis in 2016 and have played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
The band has performed at many historic Beatles-related venues such as The Cavern Club in Liverpool and recorded at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London. They’ve also performed with Denny Laine of Paul McCartney and Wings and with Pete Best, the original Beatles drummer.
Liverpool Legends perform songs spanning the entire career of the Beatles and on through the solo years, with precise attention to every musical detail along with costume changes, vintage instruments and special effects.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. Tickets are available by calling 770-254-2787 or at www.TheNixonCentre.Net .
