The good old days are gone

The 1950s and 1960s are gone forever, the good old days are gone as morals, responsibility, individualism, common sense, and God has been replaced by TV, computer games, single-parent families, welfare i.e., government providing for ones every need.

Little ones kill over and over as they play the computer games, no remorse, no feelings except for great sensations of success as they kill with rapid-fire play guns which may create the mindset that this is just a way of life.

Not everyone, I am sure, is affected but a very few is all it takes to get us to where we now are.

The NRA, nor the gun is at fault with the recent school shootings. People, usually one person is at fault. More laws are not the answer. Heroin and cocaine are not sold over the counter, yet both seem to be liberally available.

If guns are outlawed they will still be readily available as drugs are. No inanimate object is at fault for anything and will not bother you if you do not bother it.

Most public places have armed citizens in some form mingling with the crowds. If schools had qualified persons dressed as civilians instructed in the job expected of them and armed sufficiently to carry out their duties I think lives would be saved. Many will disagree with this but guns are here to stay and hopefully, our freedoms.

Such a shame that so few can make public prayer illegal in schools, altering a century-old way of life for the multitudes. I have read that some schools teach some aspects of Islam but not Christianity.

I bet many were praying out loud on school property in Florida last week. It is time for all to stand and be counted.
