Ceremonies will be held Saturday at the graves of three Revolutionary War soldiers at Oak Hill Cemetery.
General Daniel Newnan Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, NSDAR and the Marquis de Lafayette Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, GASSAR have put together the program. The grave marking ceremonies will take place at 11 a.m.
James Akens, William Smith and Randal Robinson will be remembered. Akens and Smith are buried near the Confederate section of the cemetery, while Robinson’s remains rest a short walk away in a family lot.
The cemetery is located on Jefferson Street just north of downtown Newnan.
