We Foster, Coweta’s Faith and Community Foster Care Alliance, is holding its quarterly meeting Monday night and all who would like to know about ways to serve Coweta foster children are invited to attend.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. in the meeting room at Dunkin’ Donuts, 12 Bailey Station Drive, Sharpsburg, at Thomas Crossroads.
"Do you have a heart to help foster children? Come and see how the growing foster care initiative in Coweta is serving our children in need,” said Betsy Imes of We Foster. "Everyone can be a part of the solution to Georgia's foster care crisis."
The organization holds an annual Christmas party for foster families, hosted a training seminar on the effects of trauma on child brain development, and headed up projects to improve the visitation rooms and playground at the Coweta Division of Family and Children’s Services. But We Foster’s primary purpose is to help local churches set up “care teams” to serve local foster families.
