Paul Norman Magliery, Jr., 87, of Newnan, widower of Joanne Foster Magliery, died Monday, January 1, 2018.
Mr. Magliery was born in High Point, N.C., April 29, 1930. He was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
A lifelong artist, Mr. Magliery won many awards for his art and had been featured in the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years.
Survivors include five children, Virginia Deiser and husband Timothy of Roxbury, Kansas, Milissa Denton and husband Phil of Richmond, Texas, Lee Richards and husband Mike of Zephyrhills, Fla., Karen Durrough and husband Terry of Newnan, Thomas Paul Magliery and wife Lisa Grant of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, 1500 Wire Rd., Auburn, AL 36832.
