A University of West Georgia professor will share his passion for history during a series of discussions at the Carnegie Library beginning in February.

The “American Military History” program will be led by Dr. Walter Todd.

The discussions will focus on the War of 1812, the Mexican-American War, the Banana Wars and the Grenada and Panama Invasions.

This series will begin on Feb. 16 and held on the third Friday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m.

Todd has a Ph.D. in history but focuses on American military history.

In addition to working at the University of West Georgia, Todd is a faculty member at West Georgia Technical College.

The program is free, but registration is required to attend the American Military series.
