Billy Eason, 86, departed this life on Friday, December 1, 2017, just 6 days shy of his 87th birthday.

He was born on December 7, 1930 to Curtis and Lee Bryant Eason in Sargent, Ga.
At the early age of 13, he began his career in Roofing that spanned 55 Years. His love for and dedication to working was evident to all that knew him. One of his favorite sayings was, “I had rather put on shingles than eat.”
His second career of 10 Years was for Market Place Graphics where his dedication once more shined as he traveled to many different states installing Phillip Morris signs.

His final career was working for Man Your Stations at the Coweta County Recycling Sites.

For 22 Years, he was dedicated and loyal to Man Your Station, Coweta County and his customers who would come by to drop off their garbage, and recyclables or just to visit for a bit. He especially enjoyed all of the home baked gifts he received at Christmas from his customers.

On October 21, 1950, he married Ruby Cochran, who predeceased him on October 9, 2000. He is also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Stephen Barnett, and many other family members.

He is survived by daughters, Kathy Barnett and Lori Milton (Richard) of Newnan and Judy Bearden of Temple; grandchildren, Kandy and Terry Roy of Deerfield N.H., Stephen Barnett, (Lisa), McCormick of S.C., Scott and Clare Barnett, Stacy and Melissa Barnett and Sandy Barnett, (Leslie), all of Newnan, Casey And Tristen Bearden of Temple, Dustin Williams of Newnan and Michael Williams of Carrollton, Andy and Stacy Eason of Newell, Alabama, Clay and Brandon Eason both of Franklin; sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Brown and Nellie Minix, both of Newnan; his best buddies, Charlie, Dexter, and Lucy; extended family, Jerry and Kassie Reyes and their daughters; Trinity and Annalea, Beth Bragg (his favorite) and her children, Gracie, Riley, and Jace; caregivers and great neighbors, Mary Varnadoe, Judy Norton, Rhonda Ramey, Nancy McLain, Trish Thompson, Allison Thompson and Jeanne Hayes.
He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws and many other family members.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Home Healthcare and Amedisys Hospice for their care and services for the last several months, also our sincere thanks for the prayers and thoughts sent our way by everyone.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Scott Barnett, Stacy Barnett, and Sandy Barnett; great-grandsons, Aiden Barnett, Rylan Barnett and Hudson Barnett. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie, Dexter and Lucy.

Funeral services was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017 in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, Ga. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home.
