On Thursday morning, the ninth of November 2017, Thomas “Tom” Forsyth Woodford,75, passed away surrounded by his family at his home in Newnan, Ga.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He is survived by his wife; Grace, his two children, Jim and his wife Dana of Newnan, and his daughter Heather of San Jose, Calif.; five grandchildren, SSGT Tyler Thomas Sullivan USAF and granddaughters Kristin, Jessica, Kristina and Makayla; his three brothers, Jimmy, David and Eddie; and several nieces and nephews.

Tom was born June 16, 1942, in Ansonia, Connecticut and was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Cuban Missile Crisis.  He also retired after 15 years as a corrections officer with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Department.
His easy smile and sense of humor will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

There will be a celebration of his life held at his home on Saturday, November 11, from 2-4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers his last wish was that a donation in his name be made to the Red Cross – Hurricane Maria Relief Fund –
