John C. Sullivan, Jr., 85, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2017 after a long illness
A partner in the law firm of Sullivan, Admire & Sullivan, he was born at Victoria Hospital in Miami, Fla. John attended Miss Jenny’s Kindergarten and Coral Gables Elementary. He attended Ponce de Leon High School, the McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tenn., Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. and graduated from the University of Miami with a BDA and LLB.
He was a member of Chin Tang at Ponce de Leon High School, president of the Batchelors and president of Sigma Chi at the U of M.
He was a member of Riviera Country Club and Camarillo Club. He was the chief umpire with South Miami Khoury League.
He was a past member of First Presbyterian Church of Coral Gables where he was a Deacon, Elder and Trustee and was currently a member of the First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables.
He was predeceased by father, John C. Sullivan; mother Ruth T. Sullivan; and his daughter, Ramsey Sullivan.
He is survived by wife Evelyn J. Sullivan; his children, Michael Crew Sullivan (Natasha), Leticia Ann Fineston, Peter Young Sullivan; sister, Ruth Sullivan Admire; and grandchildren, Alex and Peter Sullivan, Ashton, Aidan and Archer Fineston, Finn Lee Blum and Wallace John Blum; loving nieces and nephews; and loving caretakers, Anibelky Cardenas, Maria Dolly Reyes, Maria Ramirez, Mercedes Mendez, Barbara Perez and Solmaria Ilias.
Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 pm in Celebration of John’s life at First United Methodist of Coral Gables, 536 Coral Way, Coral Gables, FL 33134, with a reception to follow at the Riviera Country Club. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his memory to the First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables.
