An investigation remains ongoing after a convenience store was held up at gunpoint late Sunday night, with nobody injured in the robbery.
No arrests had been announced as of Wednesday evening. The incident marks the second armed robbery at the gas station since May.
The robbery occurred at about 11:30 p.m., when three men entered the Shell gas station at 5 McCollum Station, off Interstate 85 at Exit 51, according to Sgt. Jae Robertson of the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.
One man produced a handgun and ordered the clerk to get on the ground, while another man walked behind the counter and demanded him to open a safe underneath the register and removed an undisclosed amount of money, according to Robertson.
The same man reportedly ordered the clerk to open the register and the subject removed the entire till. All three subjects then left the store, got into a 2017-2018 white Jeep Cherokee and fled the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Robertson at 770-253-1502 or Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS.
