Ann McGilvray Morrison Leonard, 94, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at her home in Newnan surrounded by family.

She was born on July 9, 1923 in Memphis, Tenn. to the late William Gilbert and Lucille Heath Morrison. Ann is preceded in death by her loving husband, Archie Willard Leonard.

She is survived by children, Gilbert Norris Leonard of Poriya Ilit, Israel, Susan Heath Leonard of New Haven, Vt. and Sarah Leonard Cheatham of Newnan, Ga. 

She is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and her brother, William G. Morrison of Stuart Fla.

Ann was a graduate of Bennington College and Harvard School of Landscape Architecture. She managed a professional career while raising three children and travelling with Archie who was an executive for Pan AM.

Ann was an avid gardener and tennis player until late in life. She adored her husband of 52 years and commented often about how fortunate she was to have a had such a rich and happy life.

The family is planning to have a memorial service for Ann at a later date.

She admired most the work of Doctors Without Borders and Feeding America. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Ann's name to
