Vivian Smith, age 75, of Newnan, passed away on 13 October, 2017, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.
She was born in Queens, New York, on 16 January 1942, and she enjoyed a busy childhood in Massapequa, New York. Vivian graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in 1960, and married Donald Sharrott on 24 February, 1962, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seaford, New York. She was blessed with two girls within a few years.
In the mid-1970s, the family moved to Georgia, and Vivian spent the next few years living on the east side of Atlanta until finding a home in McDonough, Georgia, where she lived for many decades. Her second marriage to Robert Merrill Smith was very happy until his passing in 2009. Two years ago she moved to Newnan to be closer to family in her declining years.
Vivian loved her family and her cats, and spoiled all of them. She was a warm, loving mother, and unselfish to the core. She has gone to rest with her Eternal Father whom she dearly loved.
Vivian is predeceased by her husband, Robert Smith, and her mother, Dorothy Schmidt DelPizzo. She is survived by her father, John DelPizzo; two daughters, Sandra (Allen) Bauer and Susan (Mark Winfield) Crane; grandchildren Corienne Crane, John Bauer, Regina Bauer, and Miranda Bauer; brother David (Patricia) DelPizzo; two nieces; many cousins; and beloved cats Fluffy and Wolfy.
