Curtis Dwane Grice began his life journey on June 18, 1943 in West Point, Georgia. 

Curtis passed into his eternal life on Sunday, October 1, 2017. He was born to the late Curtis and Martha Hubbard Grice. 

As a young man he served in the U.S. Navy. He would marry Edwina Wells in 1963. Curtis liked working with his hands and would become a carpenter.

Curtis was a devoted member of Macedonia Baptist Church and would serve there as a deacon. He closely aligned his beliefs and community service with his McIntosh Masonic Lodge and Yaarab Temple Shrine. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Charles Grice and his wife Priscilla; and his daughter, Angela Mills. His grandchildren are Brittany Alger, James Grice and Amy Grice. Also surviving is a brother Wally Taylor. 

Funeral arrangements are by McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson Street. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening between 6-8 p.m. The service to honor Curtis’ life will be on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Dr. John Riley and Reverend Matthew Myers officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
