Rosalind A. Kewitt, 85, of 1 Sherman St., Wellsboro, Pa., passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 with family members at her bedside following a long illness. 

Rosalind was born on May 23, 1932, a daughter of Carl O. Attaway and Rose Walker Attaway in Newnan, Ga. She graduated from Newnan High School and attended Shorter College in Rome, Ga. 

On May 14, 1954 she married Dr. Frank Kewitt, who predeceased her on March 18, 2016. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters Mary Parks and Julia Blackburn, both of Newnan. 

She is survived by daughters, Julia Kewitt, Christine Osgood (George) and Laura Kewitt, all of Wellsboro; son, Dr. Gregory Kewitt (Kristen) of Pine Grove Mills, Pa.: grandchildren William Osgood (Leanne Carson) of Newton, Mass., Emily Osgood of Clark, Colo., Frank Kewitt of Wellsboro and Nicholas Kewitt of Pine Grove Mills; sister: Carlene Collins of Newnan, Ga.; several cousins, nieces and nephews and her cherished caregiver, Marie Lucas, of Morris Run, Pa. 

Rosalind was a communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wellsboro for more than 50 years and served on the parish's Altar Guild. She was a member of the Wellsboro Art Club and a former member of Tyoga Country Club in Wellsboro. 

Rosalind, who had a lifelong passion for art, was a loving and deeply caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend with a well-deserved reputation as a classic Southern cook. 

Inurnment will take place in a private ceremony in the Columbarium at St. Paul's at the convenience of the family.
