County, city offices closed for storm

Many local government offices, as well as all local schools, will be closed Monday and Tuesday because of the expected affects of Hurricane Irma. 

Coweta County announced just after 3 p.m. that all non-emergency offices will be closed Monday. A decision on Tuesday will be made later. Coweta County Transit will not operate Monday or Tuesday. 

Coweta County Magistrate Court hearings scheduled for Monday have been cancelled and all cases will be reset.

All court scheduled for Monday has been cancelled. Coweta County Offices will be closed due to the expected impact of IRMA - this includes the Superior Court Clerk's Office.

Jurors summoned to appear Monday, 09/11/2017, are instructed to call the automated phone line at 770-683-0198 after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 09/12/2017, for recorded instructions on when to report.

All Georgia State offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday, following Gov. Nathan Deal’s declaration that all of Georgia is under a state of emergency. 

City of Newnan offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday, as will city of Senoia offices. 

Coweta County Schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday, as will the University of West Georgia and West Georgia Technical College.
