The Chattahoochee Hills Police Department will host an upcoming women’s self-defense class.
There will be a 1.5-hour classroom presentation, a 1-hour hands-on self-defense course followed by a 20-minute gun safety preparation and an hour of firearms training, according to Chief Stoney Mathis.
Each participant will need to bring their firearm of choice with 50 rounds of ammunition.
If they plan on using a department firearm, they will need to bring 50 rounds of 9mm ammunition. Each participant will be paired with a firearms instructor for training purposes.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chattahoochee Hills City Hall.
