Mercer University School of Law announces dean's list

First year law students Richard Jenkins and Chase McFarland, both of Sharpsburg, were recently named to the dean’s list for spring 2017 at Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Ga.

Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College recognizes students for academic excellence

Thomas Belk, Caleb Julian and Courtney Moore, all of Newnan, were recently recognized by Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Ga. for being named to the distinguished achievement list for the summer term. The distinguished achievement list is composed of students who complete between six and 11 hours of academic work with a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Cantu named to University of North Georgia president's list

Marcel Cantu of Sharpsburg was named to the University of North Georgia’s president's honor roll for the summer 2017 semester. Students who achieve a 4.0 GPA during the semester and are enrolled in 12 or more credit hours in bachelor's degree programs are named to the president's honor roll. UNG is in Dahlonega, Ga.

Liles named to Georgia College’s dean's list

Caitlyn Liles of Newnan completed courses with exemplary marks and made the dean's list for the 2017 summer semester at Georgia College in Milledgeville, Ga.

Rheingrover graduates from University of North Georgia

Gary Rheingrover of Newnan received a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing from the University of North Georgia during commencement exercises July 29 in Dahlonega.
