A 4-year-old Coweta boy died Saturday from injuries sustained in an accident at his home.
Paxton Boswell was struck by a tree and later died at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston Hospital.
According to Coweta County Fire Rescue, Paxton’s father, Lance Boswell, was using a tractor to remove some trees on the family’s property on Sardis Church Road. His father thought that Paxton was in the house but he was not, and the child was struck by a tree.
Family members were able to remove the tree before emergency crews arrived, according to Assistant Chief Jeff Denney. The boy was taken to Piedmont Newnan Hospital by Coweta Fire Rescue and was then taken by helicopter ambulance to Atlanta, where he later died.
A funeral was held Tuesday at Parrott Funeral Home in Fairburn. A GoFundMe Account has been set up for the family at https://www.gofundme.com/lanceandlaurenboswell
