Racing resumes at Senoia

After taking last Saturday off, drivers return to Senoia Raceway this weekend for a series of feature races on the local dirt track.

This weekend’s main events will be the Kajun Mini-Stock Series, with $1,000 going to the winner.

Feature races will also be held in the Super Late Model, Limited Late Models, Crate Late Model Sportsman, Hobby Stock, Bomber and Hot Shots.

The Bombers Division has turned into one of the closet points chases at Senoia with Charlie Garrett holding a slim nine-point lead over Dorough Bright. Derrick Matthew is just 18 points back and in third place.

In the Late Model Sportsman Division, Keith Fields leads second place Curtis Turner by 22 points. Billy Stevens in just 30 points behind and in third place.

Clint Smith heads into Saturday’s race with a 45-point lead over second place driver Glenn Morris in the Super Late Model.

In the Crate Late Models, Dennis Lykins has taken control. Lykins has an 81-point lead over Jamie Maurice.

Matt Dooley is in first place in the Limited Late Model Division and has a 31-point lead over Jason Williams.

Joe Hillman leads the Hobby Stock Division over second place Ted Willingham by 60 points. Mark Newton has a large 78-point lead over Jamie Nicholson in the Mini Stock.

Nathan Farrow leads the Hot Shots Division by 54 points.

Pits open at 4 p.m., grandstands at 5. Hot laps start at 6:30, and racing begins at 7 p.m.

Pit passes may be purchased for $30, with children 5-12 for $20. Children under 4 are admitted free.

Grandstand tickets are $12 for adults with children 5-12 admitted for $6. Children under 12 are admitted for free.
