Ryan Huber advanced to play the final two rounds over the weekend at the Georgia Amateur at West Lake Country Club.
Huber made the cut after the first two rounds of play after firing a 6-over-par 148.
Newnan’s Carson Vaughn wasn’t around to play the weekend after missing the cut by one stroke. Vaughn finished at 7-over-par during the first two days.
Huber survived to play the weekend despite bogeys on the third, fifth and ninth holes.
His only birdie of the day came on the par-4, sixth hole. He shot par on every hole on the back nine.
After he started the day just 1-over par during a solid first round, the West Lake Course was not a kind to Vaughn on the second day of the tournament.
Vaughn failed to make a birdie and finished with a double bogey on the ninth hole and bogeys on the 11th, 13th, 14th and 17th holes.
