The annual Taste of Senoia, hosted and organized by the Senoia Optimist Club, will take place this Sunday, April 23 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the downtown area of Senoia. The event will feature foods from a variety of area vendors and “taste-sized” dishes will be available for purchase with tickets. Taste of Senoia will also offer a number of items available through raffles and silent auctions.

Unlike other downtown food events, Senoia representatives offer the city’s entire downtown area to guests rather than allowing only vendor carts.

“This way, the restaurants don’t have to pack things up and move them,” Optimist Club member Pat Veneziani said. “People can actually go in, see what the restaurant is like, see the menus and get a taste.”

For those restaurants with limited Sunday hours or special weekend menus, taste booths will be available in Senoia’s Town Hall and Masonic Lodge. City boutiques, restaurants and other unique shops will offer raffle items and giveaways, including store items and dinners for two or four. Participants may use tickets in exchange for food or will have the option of entering tickets toward raffle items.

Taste of Senoia 2017 raffle items will include a special Zac Brown gift package with a Jekyll & Hyde CD by the Zac Brown Band (autographed by Zac Brown), 3 bottles of Alexander Brown wine, a corkscrew, six wine glass tabs and a large-sized T-shirt.

Raffle items will be on display inside the Masonic Lodge. Instructions on purchasing tickets for the event and for raffle items will be made available soon. Items can be previewed at

Tickets will be available from Senoia Optimists for $1 each and three sites to purchase tickets will be open on the day of the event. Ticket booths will be located at the Senoia Masonic Lodge at 19 Main Street, and two sidewalk locations on Main Street.

Participating Senoia restaurants include Senoia Coffee and Cafe, Bistro Hillary, Beez Freeze, Katie Lou’s Cafe, Walking Dead Coffee Shop, Chapultec, Tomato House, and Nic & Norman’s.
