Taste of Newnan returns Thursday

Main Street Newnan is hosting the spring edition of its popular food festival, Taste of Newnan, this Thursday from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. around the Court Square.

Taste of Newnan features local restaurants and caterers set up around the historic Coweta County Courthouse sharing samples of their menu items.

There will be cuisine from more than 40 local restaurants.

Tickets are $1 each to exchange for a “taste.” Each vendor will have a menu posted with the cost for each item.

Along with the food, the event features two stages with family-friendly musical entertainment and a special “Kid’s Zone” for youngsters to enjoy activities such as rides, games and face painting.

Main Street Newnan has designated several businesses where advance tickets may be purchased. Tickets may also be purchased at the event from ticket booths located at each corner of the downtown square and a fifth in front of the Kid’s Zone, located along West Washington Avenue..

The event is open to the public and there is no admission charge.

Advance tickets are available at C.S. Toggery, 6 E. Court Square; Ace Beer Growlers, 22B W. Court Square; Dragonfly Running Co., 10 Lagrange St.; Let Them Eat Toffee, 18A N. Court Square; Gillyweed, 8 Jefferson St.; and Wildwood Trader, 15 Greenville St.

Free parking is available along downtown streets, and in the City of Newnan’s public

parking lots, located at: 13 Lagrange Street, 25 Lagrange Street, 22 Spring Street, 6 First

Avenue, 50 East Broad Street, 65 East Broad Street, 41 East Washington Street, and 22 East Broad Street.
