Ray Weaver, 84, of Greensboro, Ga. was honored and blessed to pass away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Gale D. Weaver of Greensboro; his daughters: Donna Lynn Weaver, Loganville, Ga. and Carol Ann Weaver, Stone Mountain, Ga.
A graduate of Newnan High, Newnan, Ga. He was all state baseball and all region football and played both sports while attending West Georgia College. He was also elected a “Superlative” at West Georgia.
He graduated from the University of Georgia while working on “the line” at Lakewood GM plant. He worked his way “up” eventually retiring as a General Superintendent supervising 2,500 people.
Ray lived life boldly, with zest and a contagious smile! After retiring when queried about “what does Ray do?” The answer was “whatever he wants”! Mostly golfing, fishing, playing poker with the guys, Black Jack in Vegas, concerts, walks on the beach, hugging his dogs, watching Westerns and Andy Griffith and playing Texas Hold ‘Em competitively! He was kind and generous.
A Memorial Service shall be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 21 at Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church on Scott Road, Eatonton, Ga.
