Elim Baptist Church, 9 Elim Church Road will hold 100 Women in White on Sunday.

The morning service will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Adria Smith, associate pastor of Emmanuel Life and Worship Center bringing the message.

Apostle Sarah Felix, pastor of Faith International Christian Center, will speak at the afternoon service at 2:30.

Life Springs Church is holding a free interest social on Sunday.

The event will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Kyle Kahn Dance Studios in downtown Newnan. This month’s theme will include cascading chocolate fountains with fresh fruit and pretzels for dipping.

There will be a short presentation of the vision of Life Springs Church and how the church to impact our community. Life Springs is a contemporary, non-denominational church starting Sept. 24, seeking to reach millennials and others who want to be part of something different and impacting.

Mount Ephraim Baptist Church and the Georgia Department of Labor will be holding the Atlanta Career Expo, featuring 50 employers, on Thursday.

The expo will be from 10 a.m- 2 p.m. at the Mount Ephraim Family Life Center, 1202 West Marietta St.  N.W., Atlanta. GDOL staff will be on site to assist the job seekers.

“Facing Darkness,” a film from Samaritan’s Purse, will be shown at Georgia Regal Stadium 14, 232 Newnan Crossing Bypass and at Carmike Newnan 10, 87 Newnan Station Drive on Thursday.

The one-night showings are being held at theaters across the country. The movie tells the true story of the recovery of Dr. Kent Brantley and missionary Nancy Writebol from the deadly Ebola virus.

A fish fry will be held April 1 at Summer Hill Baptist Church on Highway 29 south.

Hours for the event will be 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Plates will be available for a $10 donation, member Anetha Lowe said.

Each plate will have three pieces of fish – catfish, whiting, tilapia – along with coleslaw, baked beans, bread, pound cake and a drink.

A Sabbath event will be held April 8 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Central Community Center, 65 Literary Lane, Sharpsburg.

The non-denominational meeting is sponsored by Lord of the Sabbath. Refreshments will follow.

Nicola “PT Nikki” Williams was the guest speaker for the Parkinson’s Support Group meeting on March 14 in the Gathering Room at First United Methodist Church of Newnan.

Williams walked attendees through the five stages of Parkinson’s Disease and talked about how physical therapy can help meet each level of need. A question-and-answer session followed.
