Mason Frady fires no hitter for East Coweta

Senior East Coweta pitcher Mason Frady threw a no-hitter at home Thursday afternoon to help the Indians to an 8-0 Region 2-AAAAAAA win.

With the victory, East Coweta improved its overall record to 13-3 and 5-0 in Region 2-AAAAAAA action. The Indians have won 12 of their last 13 games.

East Coweta jumped out to a five-run lead after two innings when it scored one run in the first and four in the second. It added three more in the bottom of the third.

In addition to his no-hit performance, Frady struck out 13 batters.

Offensively, the Indians picked up six hits.

Ryan Dyal had a three-run homer in the game for East Coweta. Emilio Morales drove in two runs, and Ethan Darrow finished with an RBI.

East Coweta and Westlake play the final contest of the two-game series tonight when the Indians travel to Westlake.

The first pitch is set for 5:55.
