Cowetans named to Reinhardt University’s president’s list

Michael Houck of Newnan and Carleigh Myatt of Sharpsburg were among the first group of students to be named on Reinhardt University’s newly established president’s list. To be on the president’s list, students must take at least 12 credit hours, earning a 4.0 GPA and not have any incompletes. The students were placed on the Waleska, Ga. university's fall 2016 president’s list.

Freeman named to Simmons College’s dean’s list

Gabrielle Freeman of Newnan was named to the 2016 fall semester dean's list

at Simmons College in Boston. To qualify for dean's list, undergraduate students must obtain a GPA of 3.5 or higher, based on 12 or more credit hours of work in classes using the letter grade system.

Keiler inducted into Phi Beta Kappa

Washington College in Chestertown, Md. is pleased to announce that Emanuel Keiler of Newnan has been inducted into the Theta Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Keiler is a biology major with a minor in chemistry.

Womack graduated from Jacksonville State University

Christopher Womack of Newnan was awarded a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Ala. on Dec. 16, 2016.
