Nickell Rental Announces New Location in LaGrange

Nickell Rental, a family-owned southeastern equipment rental business, opened its doors March 13 to its fourth location in LaGrange at 1902 Roanoke Rd.

This facility has over 15,000 square feet of space and features a large, newly built 2,500-square-foot showroom with a modern industrial design that’s highlighted with metal and pallet wood accent walls.

The selection of equipment offered to the West Georgia area will be comparable to the other three locations – in Newnan, Griffin, and Hiram, Georgia – in that there will be a full fleet consisting of items for both heavy equipment jobs and tools for smaller projects.

SBA opens enrollment for its Emerging Leaders Initiative in Atlanta; helping small businesses to thrive

The U.S. Small Business Administration recently announced the launch of the 2017 Emerging Leaders Initiative. The seven-month, executive-level training series targets small businesses with high-growth potential in metro Atlanta.

The SBA Georgia District Office is now accepting applications for the class that is scheduled to begin on April 24. Interested small-business owners can learn more about eligibility requirements and how to apply at the SBA’s website: .

“Statistics show that while the number of small businesses, particularly in underserved communities, is increasing, many remain non-employer firms with limited revenue growth,” said Terri Denison, director of the SBA’s Georgia District Office in a press release. “Emerging Leaders affords existing entrepreneurs the opportunity to develop a strategic action plan to grow their businesses.”

The initiative delivers entrepreneurship education and training focused on small, poised-for-growth companies that are potential job creators. This intensive executive entrepreneurship series includes nearly 100 hours of classroom time per participant and provides the opportunity for small-business owners to work with experienced coaches and mentors, attend workshops and develop connections with their peers, local city leaders and the financial community.

Nationwide, the program has trained more than 4,000 small-business owners since its inception in 2008.
