Southtowne recognized as Certified Elite Service Dealer

General Motors Company (GM) has designated SouthTowne Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac as a “Certified Elite Service” dealer, which represents the top 300 GM dealers among the 6,000 GM dealerships nationwide.

SouthTowne Motors was founded in 1992, and is a family-owned and operated automotive dealership, located on Bullsboro Drive in Newnan.

The select group is recognized for exceptional performance in key disciplines such as:

  • New vehicle customer retention – 72 percent of all new vehicle buyers return to SouthTowne for service and maintenance.

  • Higher service training standards – over 400 percent cross-trained in all categories of service repair and maintenance.

  • Low repeat repair rates – over 99 percent of all repairs are resolved on the initial visit.

AgSouth Farm Credit announces ‘mAGnificent’ Photo Contest

AgSouth Farm Credit recently announced it is accepting entries for its 2017 “mAGnificent” Photo Contest.  

The contest is open to anyone residing in the 59 Georgia and 34 South Carolina counties served by AgSouth.

“As the name of the contest reflects, we want to focus on the importance of agriculture in our territory,” said AgSouth Farm Credit Marketing Director Christy Smith. “We’re looking for photos that showcase our hardworking farmers, the beauty of our fields and livestock and the day-to-day goings on of living a life out in the country.”

In order to get the best variety of photos that showcase the business of agriculture in all its seasons and progressions, the contest will run through Oct. 15. Twelve photos will be declared winners and will appear in the association’s “Out in the County” magazine and on its social media.

The winners will receive Visa gift cards. The first place winner will receive a $300 gift card; the second place winner, a $150 gift card; and the third place winner will receive a $100 gift card. The remaining nine will receive gift cards worth $50 each.
