Due to the threat of inclement weather, the first basketball games of the annual “Coweta Clash” between Newnan and East Coweta have been postponed.

The Newnan Lady Cougars (7-8 overall, 0-2 Region 2-AAAAAAA) were coming off a 59-46 loss to Pebblebrook Tuesday while the EC Lady Indians (3-10, 0-2) haven’t played since a 38-35 win over Langston Hughes in the finale of the Newnan Holiday Classic on Dec. 30.

The Newnan Cougars (7-9, 0-3) fell big to Pebblebrook boys on Tuesday while the EC Indians (9-5, 0-2) haven’t played since losing to Park Crossing High in the Newnan Holiday Classic finale Dec. 30.

Newnan and EC’s non-region games scheduled for Saturday are also canceled and may be rescheduled at a later date.
