A spaghetti supper will be held today at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City.

The supper – from 5:30-7:30 p.m. – is a fundraiser for the church’s youth. Funds are being raised to send them to Affirm Leadership Week, Lutherock Confirmation Camp and a mission trip to Tennessee.

A silent auction will take place from 6-7:15 p.m. Tickets are a $7 donation in advance, $10 at the door.

Sunday will be Baptist Men’s Day at Providence Baptist Church on Providence Church Road.

Services will be at 8:30 and 10:50 a.m. Offering testimonies will be Ryan Callahan and Offeral Garrett.

Annual training for United Methodist churches in the LaGrange District will be held on Sunday at Providence United Methodist Church, 592 Bernhard Road, Fayetteville.

The event will start at 3 p.m. Following the opening session, there will be two workshop periods – from 3:45-4:30 and from 4:45-5:30. Workshop topics and leaders are:

How to Build a Young Adult Ministry, Tonya Lawrence; Fresh Expressions and New Ideas, Carol Cook, Tommy Holder; Children’s Ministry, Carson Thaxton; Men’s Ministry, Louis Johnson; United Methodist Children’s Home Foster Parent Program, John Cerniglia; Church Safety and Security, Lt. Tray Powell, Fayette County Sheriff’s Department; Leadership Development, Harold Tarpley, Shannon Karafanda; Cokesbury Curriculum, Faith Patton; One Board Church Structure, John Mattox; Youth/Youth Leaders, Blake Trent, Chris Mucha.

A Community Singing will be held Sunday at Arnco Baptist Church.

The music will start at 6 p.m. Elim Baptist on Handy Road and Providence on Providence Church Road will be joining with the Arcno congregation for the musical gathering.
