Willie Jewell’s Old School Bar-B-Q to open in Peachtree City

Willie Jewell’s Old School Bar-B-Q, the fast-casual spinoff from the 68-year veteran Bono’s Pit Bar-B-Q concept, is headed back to the peach state, this time to Peachtree City in early February.  This will be the eighth location in the growing concept, which will now have restaurants in Florida, Georgia, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. Willie Jewell’s is looking to double in size in the next nine months as the concept is poised for growth.

Wencor Group and AmSafe Bridport enter new partnership

AmSafe Bridport has appointed Wencor Group as its official stocking distributor and inventory management partner worldwide. Wencor Group, which is headquartered in Peachtree City, is a global aerospace industry leader that offers PMA design, CMM and DER repairs, and distribution solutions for airline operations, repair stations, manufacturers, and militaries around the world. Wencor will provide oxygen and escape slide cylinders for the global aerospace market including Asia, Europe and the Americas, expanding Wencor Group's existing market capability.

Santa’s sleigh visits Palmetto Waffle House

For the last eight years, Santa’s sleigh has visited the Waffle House on Roosevelt Highway in Palmetto before Christmas. This past season, he arrived in a city fire truck, making sure every child received a gift and a picture with Santa. Extra toys were donated to other facilities in the community to distribute to those in need.
