Life in the valley

Eric Nauert, UWG

UWG students, faculty and staff were recently given the opportunity to preview an exhibit created by the UWG Anthropology Department title, “Long Swamp: Life in the Etowah River Valley.” The exhibit was supported by the Georgia Department of Transportation and will travel to Native American communities throughout the Southeast to share artifacts and research from this Mississippian Age site discovered in Northwest Georgia. During the tour, communities will be invited to share some of their own artifacts for display, making this a truly dynamic, interac- tive and ever-evolving exhibit. UWG Anthropology faculty and students worked together to create the exhibit.
