Newnan bar members named to State Bar of Georgia Committees

A number of Newnan-based members of the State Bar of Georgia have been appointed to serve as members of standing, special or program committees of the 48,000-member state bar for 2016-2017.

Coweta County Solicitor General Sandra N. Wisenbaker was named as chair of the elections committee, which conducts the elections of all officers and members of the board of governors of the state bar, and as a member of the Support of Lawyers/Legal Personnel – All Concern Encouraged (SOLACE) committee, which works to provide assistance to judges, lawyers, court personnel and law office staff who have a medical crisis in their families.

Coweta Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge W. Travis Sakrison and Lisa R. Reeves of Lisa R. Roberts & Associates P.C. were both selected for the Bench & Bar Committee, which oversees the Judicial District Professionalism Program and works to identify and facilitate solutions to issues of mutual interest between the state’s judges and lawyers for the benefit of the public.

Delia T. Crouch of the Law Office of Delia T. Crouch will serve on the investigative panel of the state disciplinary board, which is authorized to investigate alleged violations of the standards of conduct by members of the state bar.

Three Trees Ranch, Inc. ranked fifth in Angus Registrations for Georgia

Three Trees Ranch Inc, Sharpsburg, ranked as fifth largest in registering the most Angus beef cattle in Georgia with the American Angus Association® during fiscal year 2016, which ended Sept. 30, according to Allen Moczygemba, association chief executive officer.

Angus breeders across the nation in 2016 registered 334,607 head of Angus cattle.

“Our growth this fiscal year continues to demonstrate strong demand for Angus genetics and solidifies our long-held position as a leader in the beef cattle industry,” Moczygemba said. “These results underscore our members’ commitment to providing genetic solutions to the beef cattle industry.”
